University
Universities (Nepal Study Center & UNM Service Corps) partner with local grassroots organizations, in full consultation with community, engage in deliberation to find solutions to address pressing local issues including health, education, environment, economic & sustainable development, and conflict transformation.

Community
The community plays a critical role in the decision making throughout the entirety of the process. 

Grassroots Organizations
Grassroots organizations serve as facilitators to mobilize community leadership.

Students
Students play an important role in the implementation of projects at various stages.  In this student learning, emphasis is placed in developing academic & leadership skills
through community engagement.
 

Phase I
Form a project team consisting of community members, university faculty & students, and grassroots organizations in both regions, and identify a viable project.

Phase 2
Seek resources by mobilizing various networks and prepare grant proposals.

Phase 3
Implementation of project.
Learning takes place through an interactive dialogue between community and student leaders.  

Phase 4
Prepare Learning Module from the experience in implementing the project. 
This prototype can then be used to implement other projects.
